The new moon in Scorpio occurs 8:47 AM ET on November 1st at 9 °Scorpio 35”. This new moon has an intense charge for regeneration. We're done with the eclipse season for 2024, but this New Moon is the jumping point for where we head in the last few months of 2024.
It steps us up for profound transformation. Before the new moon happens, we are in the dark of moon time. I see the Scorpio new moon as the most aligned with dark of moon energy.
The dark of moon happens when the sky is black; we see the stars better than we can throughout the rest of the lunar month. The goddess Hecate is particularly prominent in this Scorpionic passage, because Hecate was the goddess of birth and death.
Hecate stands on the gateway of both these portals: when we enter the Earth plane and when we leave. She is the midwife of birth and death. In ancient times, Hecate was called to help ferry the soul into either the passage of birth and help the mother or deliver the soul into the underworld of death. That's a lot of power.
When you think of Hecate as a metaphor, she prepares us for what we need to slough off heaviness and fear before we enter into the next lunar cycle.
